OData V4: Communication between SAPUI5 and SAP Backend<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Open Data Protocol<\/strong> is an open standard for the development and use of RESTful APIs. With OData V4, SAP has replaced the previous OData V2 standard and created a powerful, future-proof solution that is specially optimized for cloud and hybrid architectures. OData v4 is used in the development of RAP and CAP apps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It relies on the consistent use of JSON as the standard format for data exchange. While OData V2 can often still be based on XML, version 4 relies on the JSON format, which makes processing in web applications and mobile apps much easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
