SAP GUI – Visualize subscreen boundaries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of a project, we have tried to widen the screens of transaction IW33, as only a small part of the screen is used.It is quite difficult to find out exactly how the subscreens are nested in the SAP GUI. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

A setting in the \u201cRegistry\u201d of the local computer can help here.It activates the display of the individual subscreens in the SAP GUI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exact procedure is described in SAP Note 324687 – Visualize subscreen limits. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The settings can be set using the registry editor, which is installed as standard on Windows systems:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\SAP\\SAPGUI Front\\SAP Frontend Server\\ReleaseDebug\\ShowBorders<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ENABLED = 0 \u2192 deactivate<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ENABLED = 1 \u2192 activate<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the keys ‘ReleaseDebug’ and ‘ShowBorders’ are missing in the path, these must first be created manually (as described in the note).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do this, right-click on the \u201cSAP Frontend Server\u201d folder and then create and name two new keys via ‘New \u2192 Key’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
